My Saturday is better than yours…

So, as many of you know I have a borderline fetish for sleeping. I love it, if I could I would marry it! I get excited about going to bed, taking naps and sleeping in. I mean who doesn't? Oh yeah kids! To all the people about to tell me how great kids are and what wonderful Saturdays you have with them, save it! I already know.

Back to the point, I love Saturdays! I always have. It's usually the one day a week I get to sleep in and do whatever it is I want. Most Saturdays consist of sleeping in till 9 or 10 these days and then sitting in bed reading or watching a television show on Netflix and by watching a show I mean an entire season. My husband and I, may decide where and if we want to go get breakfast. If I have work to get done I can do that too and not feel guilty for not giving my children the attention I think they should get or for not letting my husband have the down time I know he so deserves. I am not saying you should feel guilty but I know I will.

No children, no early morning wake up calls, no "I am hungry mommy"s, no fighting for control of the netflix account and no guilt (well I still have guilt that I don't get more work done but it's my Saturday and I'll play if I want to), these are the many luxuries I have now.

Right now I am going to enjoy the silence and be grateful that we can use our Saturdays for the things we want. Until we are lucky enough to hear the cries of our child and the laughter as they run into our room to wake us and snuggle and plan our Saturday for us, I will be thankful. Until then my little angels mommy and daddy love you and are praying for you.

Work

One of the perks of not having children yet is that we don't have to worry about our work schedules. We can work as much as we need or want to. Obviously we have bills to pay, so work what we have to, to survive and make ends meet. I never have to feel like I am missing out on anything with my kids if I am at work or that I am missing too much work to be with my children. No guilt here. I am not saying that anyone should feel guilty either way. I just know myself and I know I will. I love working but I know I will love being with my child just as much. It will be a challenge to not feel a twinge of guilt.
For now my husband and I have some of the broad strokes of how we are going to handle the whole child care situation. He works in the evenings so he will have our children during the day and then we will have to find an in-between person, as I do not get home in time for him to hand our children off to me. Once they are old enough they will come to work with me. Did I mention I teach in an elementary school? Which means they will be those kids, you know the weird ones with their mom at their school.(I have friends whose mothers worked in their school and I am just joking) I might even try following them all the way through school. ::::evillaughter::: That will require a whole lot of planning. >:-D So for now we have some ideas of what we will do but we do not have it all figured out. Which is fine we aren't pregnant yet and from the way it feels we may never get that way.

For now, I am thankful that I do not have to think about how much it will cost for childcare or where my child will be while I am working. Until then my little angels, Mom and Dad love you and are praying for you.
